The Sound Space 8½ was developed to be the most basic and compact system in the SoundSpace Series of Home Theater Systems, to appeal to the widest audience. Yet it is capable of incredibly faithful sound reproduction, delivering accurate, seamless, dynamic 5.1-channel surround sound using a unique system design inherited from Nakamichi's world-renowned SoundSpace 8 Stereo Music System.

The Sound Space 8½ is built around a Main Unit that comprises three stylishly streamlined components in brushed and mirror-finished silver, which make a great visual impact against the charcoal and silver-clad 5-channel Satellite Speaker System. Customized interface cables make system connections simple and easy with minimum cables.
